Avocados are one of the most versatile fruits. I don’t typically use salad dressing and instead, use spiced-up avocados to “dress” my salads. The fats in avocados improve the absorption of vitamins, so adding them to a salad increases our body’s ability to absorb and utilize the vitamins and nutrients in the salad. 😯
To make these spiced-up slices, I just sliced a whole avocado thinly, added salt, pepper, paprika and a touch of cumin. You can spice the avocado in any way you choose.
Salad dressings are often made up of empty calories, high sodium and sugar. Try using avocado instead and let us know how you like it!
